Lena Ferguson Knight, age 80, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Knight Sr; father, Jess Ferguson; mother, Emma Gibson Ferguson; brothers, Grover, Dewey, Carl Lynn, Donald Ray, Silvan, Earl and Jess Ferguson; sisters, Barbara Sue Ferguson, Lois Ferguson, Evelyn Collins, Joann Ferguson and Edna Seals; and step-brother, L C Lynch.
She is survived by her six children, Polly Short of Morristown, Melvin Knight of Ashville NC, Billy (Linda) Knight, Dennis (Carolyn) Knight, Tony (Janice) Knight, Scott (Cindy) Knight, all of Morristown; brothers, Homer and Jack Ferguson, both of Sneedville; sister, Loraine Ferguson of Morristown; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Donnie McNabb officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. to go to Hamblen Memory Gardens for the graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Knight’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
