Lizzie Marie Mayes

Lizzie Marie Harbin Mayes, age 70, of Morristown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 18th, 2026, at UT Medical Center. She was a devoted and faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and retired from TVA Credit Union following 16 years of dedicated service. Lizzie will be remembered for her strong faith, loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; George Thomas and Katherine Harbin, husband of 43 years; George Edward Mayes, sister; Rachel Joanne Cline, brothers; Douglas Gerald Harbin, Billy Wayne Harbin, Alvin Ray Harbin, and Mark “Tiny” Harbin, and sister-in-law; Bonnie Turner.

Lizzie is survived by her children; Noah and Kim Mayes, Benjamin and Cynthia Mayes, grandchild; Hunter Mayes, sister; Delores “Cookie” and Ray Trent, Mary Harbin, and Kathy Harbin, sisters-in-law; Barbara Jean Harbin, Faye Harbin, Gail Harbin, Gail G. Harbin, Nellie McGee, Georgia Mayes, and Mary Heck, brother-in-law; Leroy Turner.

Family and Friends will gather at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00-8:00PM for visitation.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Porter and Rev. Kenny Cole officiating. The graveside service will follow at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
