Lois Irene Hicks, age 71, of Bulls Gap, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 after an extended illness. She was a member of Pond Hill Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Wayne Hicks; daughter, Lisa Hicks; father, Millard Lawson; and special nephew, Michael Lawson.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Hicks; grandson, Patrick Hicks; mother, Mildred Lawson; brothers, Ralph (Arlene) Lawson, Carter (Darlene) Lawson, Claude (Brenda) Lawson, Mike Lawson; sisters, Lillie (Lance) Welch, Yvonne (Robbie) Swiney; special bird, Tweety; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Don Lamb will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
