

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Louis "Sarge" Scheick, age 89 of Bean Station. He was a beloved parent, grandparent and friend.. He passed away on September 24, 2025 surrounded by his family.
He is survived by daughters: Robin Coffey of Bean Station and Karen (Willie) Wallace of Morristown, TN. Grandchildren: Candice (Sam) Grigsby, Tiffany Coffey, Emily Coffey (Travis), all of Bean Station and Jennifer (James) Wolfe of Morristown. Great grandchildren: Chandler (Kenna) Grigsby of Blaine; Colton and Spencer of Morristown, other great grandchildren: Bentley, Jacob, Savannah, Clay, Ava, Cody, Jessi, Malia, Levi, Danielle, Amanda, Brandon, Mike, Autumn, Colton,Connor, Abby, Jay, Piper and Callee.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Eyvonne Scheick, parents: Raymond and Jennie Scheick and brother, Bill Scheick.
Louis was born in Coaldale, Schuylkill, PA, and was raised in Tamaqua, PA. He received Christ at the early age of 14 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua. Lou and Eve were members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Morristown for 40 years. He was a Veteran of the Air Force, serving from September 1954 until November 1979. He was initiated into the Mastor Mason on August 30, 1988. He was a member of Tate Springs Lodge # 438 F.& A.M. on Highway 11 W and 25-E, Bean Station, Tn. Louis was proud to serve his country and loved taking his family on his different assignments' in the states and abroad. He spent his years after retirement working at Sterchi's and Jeffery Chain. He loved spending time and going places with his family, it was his favorite past time.
Special thanks to his friends and caregivers, Becky, Donna and Joyce, for all your love and help. And also to his favorite all time nurse, Erica, He loved all of you.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bill Johnson and Pastor Matt Westra officiating.
Military graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Willie Wallace, Sam Grigsby, Travis Wolfe, Chandler Grigsby, James Wolfe and Brady Rouse. Honorary pallbearer: Colton Purkey.
