Luther William “Billy” “Beaver” Templin, age 77, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. He served as Deacon of Fairview Bible Baptist Church for 36 years. He was retired from Berkline after 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alger and Ruth Templin; sisters, Margie Fry, Jean Coffey, Alice Meek; and an infant brother.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joretta Wolfe Templin; son, Gary (Teresa) Templin; daughter, Linda (Dean) Hunley; grandchildren, Will Hunley and Abby Templin; brother, Larry (Donna) Templin; sisters, Mary Lou (Johnny) Taylor, Christine (Eugene) Patterson, Sue (Jake) Price; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Helton, Rev. David Winstead, and Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday at 1:50 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening prior to the services.
