Lydia Mae Carroll Wells, age 101, of Bean Station, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Emeritus Assisted Living Center. She was a member of Spruce Pine Grove Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert M. Wells; daughter, Bernice Wells- Gass; parents, Daniel and Clara Carroll; brothers, J D, Garrett, Clay, and Jack Carroll.
She is survived by her sons: Cleason (Ruth) Wells of Bean Station, Henry B Wells of Morristown; sisters: Alice Adams of Mooresburg, Charlotte Long of Bean Station, brother: Glen Carroll of Rogersville grandchildren: James Wells, Steve Wells of Bean Station, Carol Ann Day, Lisa Breeden of Jefferson City; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Spruce Pine Grove Church on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Epps and Rev. Dustin Callahan officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Monday morning at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. entombment service. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the church from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the services.
