Her greatest joy in life was her family and searching for sea shells at her favorite place, Panama City Beach in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Arlesa McCracken of Newport, as well as her brothers Paul (Dandridge), Carroll (OK), and Jay McCracken, (VA).
She is survived by her husband Darrell Mitchell of 56 years, sons Alan and Jamie (Janae) Mitchell of Morristown, her daughter Nova (Michael) Bowers of Talbott, her grandchildren, Zayne and Acoya Mitchell and Noah and Nolan Bowers, her sisters Teresa (Doug) Messer, Darlene Ailor, Pearl Patterson, brother Bobby McCracken and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Avenue Building Church fund.
