Mary Bailiff

Mary Ellen was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 20 years, where she taught Sunday school. She loved to travel the world and spending time with her loved ones and friends, and cooking for her family. She was both a Kentucky Wildcat and Tennessee Vols fan. She was an LPN at Parkwest Medical Center and Lakeway Regional Hospital and retired after many years of service.

Preceding her in death are her parents: Mack and Clara Potter; husband: John T. Bailiff to whom she was married for 67 years; son: John Derek Bailiff; sister: Sue Anderson and son-in-law: Ed Hall.

She is survived by her daughter: Marsha Hall, son: Kevin (Missy) Bailiff; and daughter-in-law: Karen Bailiff. Grandchildren: Melissa Hall, Jon (Linda) Hall, Eric (Jennifer) Hall, Kelly Hall, Kristin (Reid) Burton, Brian (Candance) Bailiff, Kourtney (Bryce) Shelton, Ashley Bradley and Justin Bailiff and 16 great grandchildren. Brother: Michael (Lantha) Potter and brother-in-law: Harry Bill Anderson. Numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mark Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory are asked to be directed to the Towers to Tunnel Foundation, St. Jude's Children Hospital or Hillcrest Baptist Church.
