

Norma Jean Lawson Wilmeth, age 78, passed away Sunday morning, April 12, 2020 at her home surrounded by her niece and sister. She was saved at an early age at Pond Hill Baptist Church in Hawkins County. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for the last 61 years. She attended school at Hadamey Academy and Clinch School. She was retired from Magnavox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E “Bob” Wilmeth; stepson, Robert Wilmeth Jr; parents, Walter and Pauline Lawson; mother and father-in-law, Thelma and Patrick Wilmeth; and brother, Bill Lawson.
She is survived by her brother, Junior (Glenda) Lawson; sister, Shirley (Buster) Potter; sisters-in-law, Emma Jean Ellis, Gloria Lawson, and Patsy Scott; niece, Chasity Potter; nephews, Scott (Tracy) Potter, Bob (Mary) Ellis Jr, Joe (Ellen) Scott; special aunt, Dorothy (JB) Buttry; great-nieces, Sarah (Billy) Fox, Crystal Potter, Alyssa Potter; great-nephew, Bob Ellis III; great-great-nieces, Mariana Partin, Norah Fox; and great-great-nephew, Orian Potter.
Graveside services were held in Jarnagin Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev Roger Porter and Rev James Seal officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 8:00 PM from the Stubblefield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fletcher Porter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 PM preceding the service
