I saw Otha a few years ago while on a visit home. It was the first time since high school graduation. Time had changed all of us in looks but Otha’s smile and laugh was just the same as I remembered in school. From the first grade on, Otha and Shirley were my touch stones. During laughter, tears, sadness and bad Math scores, 🥴, Otha always had a laugh that lifted me up. She was a sweet friend and I know she touched the hearts and lives of so many who knew her. You were loved Otha. But know you are in a safe place with no worries or sickness and I know you will be smiling and laughing and content.

Nana, I (Lexy) figured I would post more than just a picture... I figured I would share one of our favorite memories.
One day about 4 years ago, my Nana and I had went to the grocery store. Well, my Nana kept saying that the cart she was driving wasn’t doing right. I asked her what she meant, and she was telling me it just wasn’t stopping on time. I really didn’t think anything of it, so she had to run to the bathroom and I was like well I should probably move this out of the way, so I move it and it ran right into huge stack of cereal and she walked out about the same time and laughed at me saying I told you so. Well, we finish things up and paid. Okay, so we was going to the car now I’m walking beside the cart she is driving and I go to open the back of the car so she can stop and I can unload the cart. The next thing I hear is my Nana, hysterically screaming help me the cart won’t stop and she was going around and around, and of course I was laughing so hard I couldn’t even hold myself up let alone help her no matter how bad I wanted to. I eventually stop laughing and wheezing in enough time to say pull the key well she did and she laughed so hard so almost couldn’t walk. We used to sit around in her living room reminiscing on that story and many more quite often, that one was her favorite and mine too...
