Parolee Marie Treece was born on April 26, 1931, to Ted and Maggie Rice both of whom preceded her in death. She was one of nine children born to this union. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings Richard Rice, Eugene Rice, Ted Rice Jr, Robert Rice, Josephine Simpson, Edward Rice and James Rice. Parolee was a faithful member of Berea Lutheran Church of Detroit MI as well as Bethel Baptist Church of Morristown TN. Parolee was born and raised in Newport TN, attended the public school system in Newport and attended college in Morristown TN. While attending college she met and married on Jan 5, 1951, her husband Bobby Gene Treece, who preceded her in death. They were blessed with 61 years of holy matrimony. While young they moved to Detroit MI to start a new life together and start a family. To this union six children were born: Dennis, Deborah (who preceded her in death), Dwayne, Darryl, Dona, Deon.
Parolee enjoyed traveling (nationally and internationally), relaxing, and enjoying her family. She could always be counted on to lend a helping hand whenever needed. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others, she was a loving and faithful housewife to Bob and a wonderful caregiver to her children and grandchildren. Cooking and helping with her grandchildren were her passions. She loved to prepare a nice home cooked meal, a talent she inherited from her mother. There was always a request for a particular dish for her to prepare; one particularly was her dumplings. Having her support with babysitting the grandbabies was a blessing. Her support allowed several of her children to be able to work and provide for their families. Parolee was affectionately called Hun by her husband Bob and Granny by her grandbabies. In addition to sharing her love with her family, she spread love and care to students of Detroit Public Schools, through employment and volunteering in Food Services; ensuring the provision of healthy nourishment in a supportive manner.
Parolee exchanged her earthly life for external life on June 9,2021. Though her vibrant spirit will be greatly missed.
