Pauline Seal Johns, age 86, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her home. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and a former member of Chinquapin Baptist Church and Rock Bridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Johns was a retired school teacher who taught in Hancock County and Grainger County schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Johns; parents, Mack and Nannie Seal; and sister, Beulah Coffey. Survivors include her children, Mary Johns, Joe Johns, and Hugh Kyle (Pam) Johns; nieces, Mary Hall and Ruth Ann (Bob) McGill; nephew, Tony (Faith) Coffey; great-nieces, Kim (Josh) Ray, Rachel (Ben) Coykendall; and great-nephews, Carson Coffey, and Charlie Coffey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Cole and J. J. Woody officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Wednesday at 12:50 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Morningside Baptist Church.
