

He was a loving husband to his wife of 53 years, Phoebe Potter, an amazing dad to his sons, Jason and Josh and a devoted papaw to 6 grandchildren. He was fun loving, mischievous, compassionate, stubborn, hard working, and very intelligent. He would give you the shirt off his back, the vulcan death grip, and pull your toes. He was a devoted christian man who showed his love for the lord through his singing and the life he led. He is leaving us with such wonderful memories and laughter.
Philip is survived by his wife, Phoebe Potter, two sons: Jason Potter (wife Kristen) of Mooresburg, TN and Joshua Potter (wife Mary) of Rogersville, TN. His grandchildren: Desmond, Elijah, Sophie, Lillie, Kaylee, and Elena, whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his brother, MichaelP otter (wife Cathy) of Lexington, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with his family will be Friday, October 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. A family service will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Potter, Rev. Dixie Kelley and Bro. Jimmy Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Emma Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
