

Raymond E. Mittelstaedt, age 70, of Dandridge, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2013. He served in the US Army and Army Reserves for 27 years. He was retired from International Harvester and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Mittelstaedt; parents, Elwin Hilmer and Marie Spears Mittelstaedt; and father-in-law, Horace McKinney. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Martha Mittelstaedt; children, Timothy Mittelstaedt of White Pine, Amanda (David) Phillips of Bybee, Jeremy Mittelstaedt of VA; grandchildren, Jasmin and Bradley Mittelstaedt, Brittany, Crystal, and Emily Phillips; siblings, Virginia (Jim) Karg of CA, John (Sandy) Mittelstaedt of AR, Elaine (Pat) Guertler of FL; mother-in-law, Katherine McKinney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joyce Jaynes of Dandridge, Bill (Susie) McKinney of Talbott, Chuck (Patty) McKinney of Sevierville, Michael (Billie) McKinney of FL; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Bishop David Durfey will officiate. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #5266. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services. Arrangements are by Stubblefield Funeral Home.
