

RUSSELL PAUL WALLACE, age 82 born August 1, 1931 went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2014 at his residence. Russell was in the restaurant business for 27 years with the last 21 years at the Dairy Dream Restaurant in Bulls Gap. He was a member of The Church of God in Sparta, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Della Mae Wallace; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Minerva Shoun; 2 sisters, Lillian Walker and Nina Hale; brother, Robert Wallace; brother-in-law, James Shoun; sister-in-law, Willie Shoun; sons-in-law, Billy Woods and Tom Hopkins. Russell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velda Shoun Wallace; daughters, Gena G. Woods and Janice Hopkins; 4 grandchildren, Paige (Andy) Roller, Nyki (Sam) Britton, Paula J. Laster and T.J. Hopkins; 3 great-grandchildren, Taylor Lamons, Jarret Long and Paislee Hopkins; 3 step-great –grandchildren, Parker Roller, Lauren Roller and Baxley Britton; 3 sisters, Wanda Bumbalough, Scarlett Lehman and Elise Crowe; brother, Lloyd Wallace; brother-in-law. Ronald Shoun; sister-in-law, Ruby Shoun; 2 nephews, Doyal Shoun and Mark Shoun; special son-in-law, David McIntosh; special friends, Lynn Lamons and Ellis Lane and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Chaplain David Snyder and Chaplain John Wisecarver officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
