Susan Elizabeth Marshall

Susan was preceded in death by her parents W.W. “Bill” McCune and Mary Elizabeth McCune Whiteside and her brother, William Derryman McCune. She is survived by her brother, Malcom McCune.

Susan had several hobbies and passions that tapped into her creative talents from interior decorating, painting, and sewing to cooking amazing meals for her family. Susan was the embodiment of grace and sacrifice when it came to her family. She always looked forward to having everyone gather together and was the epitome of what the matriarch of a family should be.

Her abundant love and spirit will live on through those that she leaves behind including her husband of 60 years, Larry Marshall, and their four children and their spouses: Laura (Marshall) and Bryan Dickerson, Lisbeth (Marshall) and John Massey, Lana (Marshall) and Brian Hsieh, Mandy (Jaccard) and Lance Marshall.

Along with her children, she leaves behind six grandchildren that she absolutely adored. She had her two grandsons which she lovingly referred to as her “boys”, Jon and Max Dickerson and her four granddaughters, her “girls”, Alex (Tampas), Anna, Ainsley, and Ava (Hsieh). Any of the six could elicit a light in her eyes and a smile within her that was unparalleled.

Her departure leaves an unfillable void that will be felt by all that knew and loved Susan.

There will be an intimate graveside service for family and close friends at The Historic Emma Jarnagin Cemetery on Sunday, April 27th at 1:00pm.
