Heaven gained a new angel on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, in the early hours of the morning, she spread her wings and flew.
She was a devoted wife and mother giving her time to family and home. She was a daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved children and took care of and raised a bunch. She was a seamstress, cook, scout leader and den mother and wore all those hats well. In the kitchen she shined, her love of cooking and baking were known to all.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joe D. Conway, parents: William C. and Katherine Hanks and her brother, William C. Hanks, Jr.
Teresa leaves behind her children: daughters: Lorrie J. Denton and Lisa D. Boatwright; son: Jason A. Conway. 5 grandchildren: Candice Denton, Matthew Boatwright, Carrie Denton, Stephanie Boatwright and Isacc Conway. 6 great grandchildren: Makayla L. Carter, Chance A. Gibson, Leighla J. Carter, Jackson Carter, Austin Buell and Daniel Boatwright.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct.13, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Travis Mills officiating. Entombment will be in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
