Mike was my cousin and I have always loved him like a brother. Mike was one of the finest men I have ever known. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of Mike, Johnny Van, and my sister Linda at our grandma’s house. As adults, we were fortunate to be able to continue to spend time together, usually in Tennessee (since Mike wasn’t too anxious to come to YANKEE LAND, where I live.) He was always joking and kidding but had such a gentle and kind heart. After my husband passed, Mike checked on me often. I will miss his texts asking “you doing o.k. today?” along with a funny joke to cheer me up. His beautiful sweet wife Janet and his special children and grandchildren were everything to him. My heartfelt condolences to them. Rest easy in Gods hands Mike, I will miss you.
