Son of Donna and Doyle Goin. Tim joined his Heavenly family on the morning of September 3, 2025. Tim is survived by his wife of 37 devoted years, Marie Doute and was a loving father of his three children, Timothy, his wife Heather, Kaylnn, her husband Andrew, and Ethan, his wife Michelle. Tim will be dearly missed by his lengthy list of grandchildren: Clara, Caiden, Catherine, Neyland, Maddox, Jaxyn, Noah, Parker, and Danielle. Tim will be missed by his dear fur grand puppies too: Ragner, Moose, Ariel, Kida, and Stitch.
Tim spent a lot of his time doing what he loved: driving his 18 wheeler and taking care of his family. During his later years, he was joined by his wife as they cruised the country in their Hobby Lobby truck. Along their travels, he was able to share his love to anyone he encountered with his infectious smile and warm felt hugs.
Despite the countless hours Tim spent on the road, it wasn’t just for work. His dedication to his family also had him driving many hours during the weekends attending countless sporting events for softball, football, basketball, baseball, track, and some band competitions. Tired and worn down, the man stood tall and kept his children happy and remained supportive of all endeavors until his final day. If you’ve ever talked to him, you knew the moment he looked into your eyes that he was focused on solely you.
From his son, Timothy: Dad was passionate about a few things, but one in particular he shared with most (whether you wanted to hear or not), was his love of the Tennessee Volunteers. He loved taking us and our friends to the games. Dad loved to put me on his shoulders or on top of a stack of empty bread trays so we could scream, ”I said it’s great to be, a Tennessee Vol!” as loud as we could after a win.
Dad never cared what background you came from or the color of your skin. He found a way to make anyone he encountered feel like family and they had a place at the dinner table. Even with dad gone, the level he supported us with will carry on into the next generation.
Tim was a resilient man that stayed strong in his faith to the Lord and was a loving member of Lakemore Church of God. No matter what shots life gave him, he stood strong like a statue completely unfazed.
