Vernon White, age 69, of Morristown, passed away peacefully Monday, December 9, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, and very proud papaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obe and Irene White; sisters, Alma Mink and Betty Jean Tate; brothers, Glen White, Billy Jo White, and Roy White; and brother-in-law, Larry Bohanan. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynda White; his only daughter, Tammy (Randy) Gulley; grandchildren, Miranda (Josh) Archer, and Jerrica Gulley; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Asbury and Jaxson Archer; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Dennis) Elmore, Debbie (Willis) Pless, Barbara Bohanan; brother-in-law, Donnie (Karlyn) Holt; special nephew and friend, Kenny Mink; and several special nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the medical staff of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare and Hospice. Thanks to all the wonderful friends and family for their love and support. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlie Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
