Wanda Faye Short

Wanda Faye Short, age 62, of Mooresburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013. She was a member of James Chapel American Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Roger Clay Short, Sr.; sister, Patricia Ann Roach; mother, Clara Ruth Purkey; and grandson, Geoffrey Edward Short. Survivors include her sons, George Short, Roger (Julie) Short Jr., and Parnell (Renee) Short; daughter, Carolyn (Johnny) Dean; grandchildren, Amber (Will) Thompson, Brigitte, Tamara, Dylan, Nicholas, and Geoffrey Short, Courtney and Brittany McGinnis, Jonathan Munsey, and Pam Malone; great-granddaughters, Madilyn McCravey and Adalyn Strohl; brother, Leroy Purkey; sister, Sandra Brown; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joyce West, Gretchen Short, Casey Johns, Michael McGinnis, Tonya Munsey, Daniel Thomas, Raymond Greg Strohl, and Joshua Saylor. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Boyd Myers, Rev. Phil Seaton, and Rev. Mike Atkins will officiate. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. to go in procession for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
