Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1946. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1964. After serving 4 years in the Navy (Submarine Service), he worked for Ma Bell (Cincinnati, Southern Bell and Bell South) for 30 years. Because of his love and dedication to animals, he also worked as Animal Control Supervisor for 7 years in Port St. Lucie, Florida until his final retirement in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Emily and Charles Daily, and brother Thomas Daily.
Bill is survived by his wife: Lorraine Smith-Daily; children: Colleen (Darryl) Oliver, Robert Daily, David Daily, step-son: Mikel Smith; sister: Carolyn Swanson, sister-in-law: Patty Daily. Eight grandchildren, three great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Military graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Morristown, TN.
