I will miss Charley. Good memories of him. He was close to my dad (his uncle) and my dad thought a lot of him. When my parents had their first child, they lived in a wooded, secluded area (Forest Park was very different then) and my dad worked the graveyard shift. My mother was afraid at night, so Charley Bud stayed with her and the baby. He was probably ten or twelve years old. My mother never forgot that. Good boy and good man.

Libby, we are so sorry for your loss. Bill, has very fond memories of charley. We miss all the great people on Navaho trail. Prayers for you and your family.

There was no more refreshing sound than that thunderous Virrrginnnie when and wherever I heard it!.  Charley played a major role in stamping my footprint in the halls of Clayton County. What would we be without Charley. He was always there for us. If you ran an agency in Clayton County he could find ways to get you the help you needed. His advice always ended with a laugh and you knew things would always work out. Charley had his ways. The world is a better place because he was in it. Thanks for all you did for us!

Charley was one of the first people to step up and help my dad. Our home was blown away in 1973 and he was able to get us into one of his new houses. He always looked out for the community. We will miss him.

B.J. and I knew Charley for many years.  In law enforcement and just seeing him all over CLAYTON COUNTY  , always a smile and hello for everyone he met.  SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS...but you will be with him again some day...

My sympathy goes out to all the family.  Charlie was great to all of us that lived in La Costa at the time.  He would always say hello and give you that smile.  With his help I became a Lovejoy City Councilwoman and am still doing that job today. I hope I made him proud at times.  Rest in peace Charlie...

Mr. Griswell was the most unique fellow ever.    Nobody like him.  I first met him at lunch with Robbie Moore many many years ago.   “Ed’ard, this is Charlie.  come see me henah.  I want to talk to ya!”   What I wouldn’t give to go see him one more time.  If there was a picture in the Webster’s dictionary for “character” it would be Mr. Griswell.   Mrs Libby and Markhe loved ya’ll and talked to me all the time about you.  I am so sorry he has gone to Heaven too soon and I know you will miss him.

Charlies family and loved ones are in my prayers during this most difficult time.

He was a man of honor!   His word was his bond.  A sorely missed attribute today.
