Holly Leigh Williams Anderson, 50, passed away on the morning of July 29, 2026 at her home following a long and courageous battle with young onset Alzheimer's disease. Her love of family, friends, and charity reflected her strong values and her relationship with Jesus Christ. The passion she had for ballet and music, international cuisine (especially Mexican food), and diverse cultures revealed a vibrant curiosity for the human experience. Finally, a sharp wit and charismatic humor made her impossible to forget. All of these attributes epitomize a life well lived.
Holly graduated in 1998 Magna Cum Laude from The University of Georgia with a degree in French. Her career with International Student and Scholar Services spanned over two decades, taking her to Washington D.C., Savannah, and finally Atlanta, and ending in December 2022 with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Student and Exchange Visitor Program.
She adored her cats, Kiki, Fife, and Santiago, as well as her Labrador Retriever, May. Holly loved to roam the streets of Istanbul and Paris, sail the rivers and canals of Europe, and lounge on any beach with warm water and soft sand.
She is survived by her husband, Macfie Anderson; her parents, Marion and Julia Williams; her brother, Ski Williams, and her nephew, Connor Williams, whom she adored so much.

Services will held at Jackson United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 am. The family will be receiving friends at the fellowship hall from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
