John C. Slaton, of Morrow, passed away on October 28, 2019. Mr. Slaton attended Forest Park High School and was a 1982 graduate of Woodward Academy. He attended Georgia Southern University, followed by Georgia State University, where he graduated in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Services will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Reynolds, Ga., on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:00 am. He will lie in state at 10:00 am. Rev. Mark Poole will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Church-Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5pm-8pm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virlyn and Marianne Slaton. He is survived by his brother, Jason Slaton of Morrow.
