Miriam Chasteen Farmer, of Jonesboro, passed away on August 30, 2014. Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 am. Dr. Rick Long will be officiating. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.Interment to follow at Jones Memorial UMC Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michelle Durmire. She is survived by her daughters, Vicky Hendrix (James) of McDonough and Phyllis Durmire (Larry) of Jonesboro; son, Jimmy Farmer of Griffin; grandchild, Jil Brawner, great grandchildren, Wyatt and Braxton Brawner, numerous nieces and nephews.
