Thomas Ray "Tommy" McWilliams, of Jonesboro, passed away on February 20, 2013. Mr. McWilliams was a dedicated grocer since 1970 and was devoted to his career as store manager at Food Depot in Riverdale. He was an avid Nascar fan and had a love for Georgia Tech like no other. A service will be held in the chapel at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Bro. Darryl Putman to officiate. Visitation, Saturday from 5-8 pm. Survivors include his wife with whom he spent 14 years, Loretta Ray McWilliams; his son, Thomas James McWilliams and Dawn; grandchildren, Catherine Wallace, Nicholas McWilliams, Samantha McWilliams, and Chastity McWilliams; brothers, Timothy McWilliams, Rick Benson; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
