William G. Chalmers, of Forest Park, passed away on April 6, 2014. Services will be held at Ash Street Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Dr. Murray Edwards and Rev. Donnie Hamrick will be officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Visitation at the funeral home, Tuesday from 3-8 pm.Mr. Chalmers, a deacon of Ash Street Baptist Church, is survived by his daughter, Lisa Tolbert (Steven) of Brookhaven; sons, Scott Chalmers (Rebecca) of McDonough, Jeff Chalmers (Carolyn) of Merrimack, NH, and Stacey Chalmers of Stockbridge; brothers, Danny Crowe (Gayle) of Parrotsville, TN, and Rev. Jack Chalmers (Shirley) of Braselton; 12 grandchildren; numerous friends including 2 lifelong friends, Mel Williams and Chuck Hall, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Ash Street Baptist Chruch.
