Fredrick Lawrence Minchau passed away in Longview Washington on November 15, 2019 at the age of 74. He was born in Puyallup Washington to Lawrence and Evelynn Minchau. He graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma Washington and joined the Navy at age 18. He severed his time aboard the U.S.S. Columbus a guided missile cruiser. He traveled the world during his enlisted time. He had tons of interesting and funny stories to share about his Navy days.
Fred was an accomplished framer. He built hundreds of beautiful homes, garages, barns and remodels over the years. Fred was a jack of all trades. He was a talented woodworker, plumber, electrician, mechanic, semi-truck driver, etc. You name it he could do it. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, clam digging, scuba diving, and riding motorcycles. He participated in a lot of adventures through-out his life.
Fred was proceeded in death by his first wife Darlene Minchau, father Lawrence Minchau, mother Evelynn Gitt and brother Ronald Gitt. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Spahn-Minchau, children Lorna Minchau (Anderson), Shelby Minchau, and Fred C Minchau. Grandchildren Franny Minchau, Hayden Eagan, Fred Minchau, and Joanna Minchau. His two sisters Judy Wahl, Tammy Gitt and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.
You will be very missed and will remain forever in our hearts and fondest memories.
