Sadie Mae Lane

On August, 9 1943, Sadie married the love of her life, Clinton Lane, in McDowell County, WV. Together they reared three children, Thomas, Albert and Debra. Sadie prided herself in being a devoted wife and mother. She was an excellent cook, quilter, and gardener; canning the fruits of her garden and sharing her abundance with others. Sadie not only cared for her family but for her community as the President of the Somma Food Bank in Salkum and volunteering for the Mary Bridge Orthopedic Guild.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Thomas, and grandson Richard.

She is survived by her children: Albert Lane and Debra Moro, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Sadie will always be remembered for her sweet smile and her hospitality, always welcoming folks with an offer of pie and coffee.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 3, at Doss Cemetery, Mossyrock, WA.
