Bruce Carlton Settles

Bruce was born on May 24, 1959 in Huntsville, Al. He was raised in Greenfield, Ind., stayed a number of years in San Antonio, Tx., and resided in Moss Bluff for 20 years.

Bruce enjoyed his music (Led Zepplin), fishing, sunshine, and BBQ.

He was a devoted family man who loved his children and family. He was a true friend, son, a great brother, father, grandfather, and best uncle to all.

He is survived by his mother Mary Settles Wright of Moss Bluff, father Carl Settles and wife Judy of Indianapolis, Ind., daughters Melanie Settles Holmes of Indianapolis, Nicole and Monica Holmes of Indianapolis, son Jason Holmes of Indianapolis, sisters Pam Chambers of San Antonio, Tx., Lisa Domingue of Moss Bluff, brother Bryan Settles and wife Terri of San Antonio, Tx., nephews Eric VanNatta and wife Tyra of San Antonio. Tx., Jarod VanNatta and wife Kristan of Colorado, Adam Domingue of Moss Bluff, Tyles Settles of San Antonio, Tx., nieces Candace Domingue of Lake Charles, Desiree Settles of San Antonio, Tx., grandchildren Lucy and Chloe Holmes of Indianapolis, Andrew and Kayden Holmes of Indianapolis, and Jasper Holmes of Indianapolis.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday March 7, 2016 from 2pm until 6pm. A rosary will be held at 6pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
