Carolyn was a cherished resident of Moss Bluff for over 50 years. A devoted member of Glad Tidings Church, she found deep joy in her faith and church community. Carolyn had a love for nature, often found planting vibrant flowers in her garden and feeding the birds that visited. She also had a creative spirit, enjoying arts and crafts, as well as treasured moments shopping with her daughters. Above all, Carolyn's greatest joy was spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She enjoyed having a husband that she could depend on and loved her unconditionally.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Gary Gorham; two daughters, Kimberly Harris and husband Keith and Kourtney Long and husband Brandon; seven grandchildren, Jourdan Marshall, Brody Fruge, Blake Fruge, Karli Long, Branson Long, Hunter Harris and Lauren Busby; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Betsy Bennett and Peggy Prather; and three brothers, Jim Kingham, William Kingham and Kevin Kingham.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Scott Kingham and Mac Kingham.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, July 7, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Ritchie Cemetery. Pastor Gary Evers will officiate at the services.
