Sadly, we announce that Charles Alton Granger passed away on April 13, 2018 at his home in Moss Bluff, LA. He was born on May 19, 1939, in Oberlin, La. and was preceded in death by his parents, Aros Granger and Jessie Mae Bond Granger, as well as his brother, Robert Gene Granger and nieces Robin G. Dubois, Allison R. Bell.
He has left to cherish his memory his brother, Chester Granger of Moss Bluff, LA; his sister, Doris G. Fruge (husband John D.) of Moss Bluff, LA; his brother, Albert Granger (wife Jacqueline) of Moss Bluff, LA; his sister, Margaret G. Sepulvado (husband Gerald) of Converse, LA; his sister, Patricia G. Gallien (husband Ronald) of Killeen, TX; and his sister, Mary Alice G. Ray (husband Jerry) of Noble, LA. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff, LA from 4-8pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 with a Rosary at 6:30pm.
Funeral services will be at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church in Moss Bluff, LA at 11am Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Burial will follow at Ritchie Cemetery, Moss Bluff, LA. He will be carried to this final resting place by his nephews, Clair Fruge, Owen Fruge, John Fruge, Ivan Fruge, Curtis Robert Granger, and Lee Granger.
Charles attended Landry’s High School, and was a construction worker of many skills. He loved gardening, especially fruit trees, fishing and hunting. He was always a good brother, brother- in-law and uncle. His family would like to thank his good friend Norman Peet for his help and caring.
