Deborah "Debbie" Gail Cormier Fisher, age 49, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was born on June 13, 1969 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Debbie loved playing the french horn, piano, trumpet, and softball as a young girl. She collected dolls, painted little villages, and was known for clipping coupons. Debbie received many Presidential Awards while working as an Avon Sales Representative. She worked for the US Postal Service for over 10 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. Debbie was a very giving and loving lady who will be missed greatly.

Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Elaine Cormier of Lake Charles; sister, Constance Elaine Cormier-Fakir and husband, Elmehdi of Waco, Tx; nieces and nephew, Kristina LeJune, Klarissa LeJune, Kristin Harkin, KaLinda LeJune, Christopher LeJune, and Jacquelyn Chaumont; great-nieces, Katelynn and Kynsley; and great-nephew, Ashton.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Gayle Cormier.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Chapel of Moss Bluff. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com

Debbie was a natural at softball. I remember hearing my dad say things as Debbie just sticks her glove on the ground and it's like glue, the ball sticks to it.

Debbie holding her youngest niece, Jacquelyn Chaumont. When Jacquelyn was about 3 years old, they used to sing the song "Oh How He Loves Us" at night when we were there helping take care of her.
