Eugenia Carol Wright

Mrs. Wright was a native of Roanoke, VA. and has lived in the Lake Charles area since 1969. Mrs. Wright owned and operated the Ranch Restaurant and J. Wesley Cafe. She loved to read and instilled this into her children and grandchildren as well as her great grandchildren. She was known for her honesty and her high moral standards. She loved her family most of all. Mrs. Wright attended Moss Bluff Bible Church. She always enjoyed having a good time with family. She was an Army wife for 20 plus years.

Survivors include three sons; Robert Newlan (Kelly-Jon) of Westlake, Billy Wright (Christine) of Moss Bluff and Russell Wright (Debbie) of Sulphur; four daughters; Diana Hebert (Brad) and Gloria Degeyter (Bennett) both of Moss Bluff, Lisa Miller (Lawrence) of Iowa and Brenda Carol Guidry; two brothers, Elbyrne of Colorado and Steve of Virginia; 22 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Wright, Jr.; parents, Jarmen and Lula Dent Thacker; great granddaughter, Lexie Rae; son-in-law, Harold Guidry; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Her funeral will be at 10:00am, Thursday, February 27, in Hixson Funeral Home Moss Bluff. The Rev. Richard Watson will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and will resume Thursday from 8:00am till time of service. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Cemetery.
