

She was born on September 16, 1939 in Indian Village, LA., but had lived in the Lake Charles area most all of her life. She loved baking cakes and cooking, making Christmas ornaments, loved her dogs unconditionally, doing yardwork, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Rodger Ballard of Moss Bluff, James Ballard, Jr. of Lake Charles; daughter, Terri Harvey and fiance’ Mitch Stine of Moss Bluff; step-daughters, Charlotte Fontenot and husband Paul of Lake Charles, Kathy Huddle and husband Lock of Lake Charles; step-daughter-in-law, Lisa Domingue; sisters, Mavis Lormand of Moss Bluff, Gloria Gonzales of Deridder; grandchildren, Richard Martin (Lisa) of Moss Bluff, David Martin (Kysha) of Moss Bluff, Governor James Ballard (Jade) of Lafayette, Alex Ballard of Moss Bluff, Lawless Ballard (Heather) of Maysville, OK., Natasha Harvey Jordan (Larry) of Pineville, Melissa Harvey of Pineville, Adam Domingue of Moss Bluff, Candice Domingue of Lake Charles; along with fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Genevieve is preceded in death by her husband, Lawless Domingue; son, Lester Ballard; stepson, Michael Domingue; her parents, James and Avery Perkins; brothers, Edward, Erbby, Raymond, Rayford; along with sisters, Mable Trahan, Dorthy McFatter, and Doris LaRocca.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Bro. Ronnie Estes officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff and will resume on Wednesday from 9:00am until the service.
