James Edward Chapman

James Edward Chapman, age 84, of Many, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 surrounded by his daughters. James was raised in Moss Bluff born to Fred Chapman, Jr. and Mary Louise Chatelain Chapman.

James worked as a Pipefitter and was a member of the Local 106. James was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being in the outdoors and living on Toledo Bend Lake!

James was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Chapman, granddaughter, Whitney Bland, parents, and brother, Phillip Chapman.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Teri Gunter of Sulphur, LA, Toni Romero (Jarrod) of Youngsville, LA; two siblings, Fred Chapman and Stanley Chapman(Debbie); son-in-law, Ricky Gunter; three grandchildren, Savanna Gunter, Kyle Gunter, Gavin Tremie; two great grandchildren, Peyton Gunter and Elliott Gunter.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff until time of service.

Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
