

James “Jamie” Edward Todd lived a life of devotion and dedication firmly grounded with family ties and complete endearment for the ones he loved. Jamie was completely committed and devoted to his wife, Diane Sue Todd and their family.
His life was one of discipline and purpose. He balanced his world with compassion and a fun loving personality, enthusiastic and witty sense of humor, adventurous and sporty nature combined with a complete devotion to only the LSU Tigers Football Team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking for his family and friends. He was an Extraordinary Minister at St. John Bosco in Westlake, La. He was a spiritual man, having made a Cursillo Retreat years ago. Always actively involved in his children’s lives, he was an active member of a variety of Westlake booster clubs.
Born on October 10th, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Floyd Sue (Shamburger) and Frank Todd. James graduated from Barbe High School. He then graduated from Sowela Community College where he earned the knowledge he needed to be able to set off his career that ended with over twenty five years of dedication to CITGO Petroleum Corporation. Respected by his co-workers and peers in the workplace, James, thrived for all the years he dedicated to his work.
Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Todd of Moss Bluff, La. Jamie leaves behind his loving wife, Diane, and their children, Terra Oliver and her husband Mike, Heather Rodriquez, Brett Morris, Kane Todd, and Katlynn Todd His father, Frank of Moss Bluff, La; his two brothers, Larry Todd and his wife Givonna from Ringgold, La, Dennis Todd and his wife Nancy from Reeves, La; his seven grandchildren, Bradey, Darian, Damien, Josef, Conner, Emmalee, and Sawyer; and his lifelong best friend, Jason Derise of Lake Charles, La; who will be forever filled with Jamie’s steadfast and sturdy presence.
Jamie passed suddenly at St. Patrick’s Hospital early in the morning of October 4th, 2017 with his wife, father, all of his children and his brothers at his side.
Burial will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:00pm at Rocky Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Lisbon, La. Visitation will be held Friday, October 6, 2017 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with the Cursillo Rosary being at 6:00pm.
