Jewel Powell, born on February 3, 1942 in Deridder, LA, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 83.

Jewel sold Mary K cosmetics for over 20 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Brenda Lee Justice and husband Ronny of Cameron, TX. and one son, Les D. Powell and wife Lisa of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Chris Justice and wife Sara, Dawn Andrews and husband Michael, Jake Powell and wife Donna and Zach Powell; great grandchildren, Hailey Justice, Ally Andrews, Jaxson Andrews, Graham Powell, Carson Powell, Rhett Powell, Charlie Powell, Dru Powell; sister, Mary Nicks; brother-in-law, Roy Gill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her parents, Matthew Warden and Josephine Slaydon Johnson; husband, Ezra Lee Powell; siblings, June Warden, Roy Warden, Carl Warden, Claude Warden, Pauline Stokes and Juanita Gill.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Pastor Ed Rose will officiate at the services.
