Linda Sue Cox

Linda Sue Lofton Cox, 75 of Deer Park, Texas was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 10, 2021. Linda was born in Oakdale, Louisiana on July 27, 1945 to John Thomas “JT” and Gladys “Dolly” Lofton. She was a longtime resident of Moss Bluff, Louisiana until she moved to Deer Park, TX in 1982. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, taking her grandchildren to fun places like Astroworld, crafting, and garage sales.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bobby” Cox of Deer Park; daughter, Roxanne Davis and husband Bill of La Porte, TX; daughter-in-law, Lorelei Cox of Moss Bluff; sister, Jacqueline Cox and husband Jack of Mont Belvieu, TX.; brother, John Thomas Lofton Jr of Moss Bluff; sister-in-law, Anita Lofton of Moss Bluff; and numerous other family and friends.

Linda was a loving grandmother to Jenna Mistric and husband Jacques, Clint Cox and wife Lacie, Grant Cox and wife Kayla, Ciara Lee and husband Cody, Devin Davis, and Tabby Greylock. She was also a blessing to 8 great grandchildren, Joleigh Mistric, William Cox, John Cox, Jackson Cox, Jhett Mistric, Landon Lee, Aubriella Davis, and Jude Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gregory Neill Cox; brother, Robert Dale Lofton and his wife Gracie; and brother, Charles Donald Lofton.

Visitation services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday, April 15, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be immediately following in Old Ritchie Cemetery. Pastor Bill Saxby of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff will be officiating at the services.

I really enjoyed her stories about the family. Time we spent together. And the laughter we shared. Watching her dance was my absolute favorite. I Loved her very much. She was a second mother to me. I will miss her greatly. I really can’t express how much I Love her. 💕
