Marie Inez Guidry

She married Ora Guidry in November 1936, moved to Ragley in 1940, worked the cotton fields, and owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. Marie was also a school bus driver for Beauregard Parish. She retired in 1986. She moved to Waldron, AR. for Hurricane Rita and lived there until her death.

Survived by sister, Mae Rose Mire; daughters, Sadie Cox and husband Jessie, Nelda Baggett and friend John; granddaughters, Angelia Fontenot and Laura Baggett Drury; grandson Raymond Lee Guidry II; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ora; daughter Sadie Jane; son Raymond Lee; and grandson Travis Cotton.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff from 5pm til 9pm. Memorial service and burial will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff at 2pm.
