Melba Louise Robin, 74, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at a local hospital.
She was born in Gueydan, LA, and lived in Moss Bluff, LA, most of her life. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. Mrs. Robin was a member of the Catholic Daughters Society and a former president of Lake Charles National Federation of the Blind. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who greatly enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She was married to her husband for 49 years.
She is survived by her son, Tony Robin of Ragley, LA; daughters, Deborah Robin of Gulfport, Mississippi; Tina Robin Benoit of Sulphur, LA, and Angela Robin Richard of Sulphur, LA; sisters, Earline Marceaux of Gueydan, LA, Arthurine Hargrave of Bossier City, LA, and Jeanette Broussard of Moss Bluff, LA; grandchildren, Blaine Robin, Jeremy Benoit, Angel Benoit, Megan Chasson, Miles Benoit, Amy Bass, Jason Richard, Ryan Richard, Colby Robin, Hunter Robin, Johnathon Harris, Chad Harris, and Brandon Harris; and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Joseph Robin; parents, Wilmer and Hazel Harrington; and sister, Laura Suire.
A mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at Hixson Funeral in Moss Bluff and will continue at 8 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday.
