Herb and Yvonne were my neighbors, 2 houses down, for 12 years. Yvonne & I visited & had coffee almost Every day. Herb & my husband made some Goldfish ponds, and we enjoyed checking on them regularly. Our kids were young at the time. We went camping with them a few times. We would build a huge fire & set up half the night talking & visiting with other campers Herb never met a stranger. He was so kind & fun loving, and he was always smiling. We thoroughly enjoyed being with them. Herb and Joel worked on the Moss Bluff Masonic Lodge until it was finished. On Christmases, they would come down, when everyone was settled & we would visit a long time. I moved away for 19 years. My husband had passed away then & I was moving back to Moss Bluff. I was so looking forward to visiting with Yvonne & Herb again, but Yvonne passed just before I got moved back. They were the best neighbors I've ever had. Wish I could have spent more time with them. Herb and Yvonne were the sweetest, and fine people. Kayla and Randy, be proud they were your parents. Much Sympathy for the whole family.

Herb and Yvonne welcomed me into the family in 1976(?) when Ben took me to Lake Charles area to meet his extended family. They made me feel as if I'd known them for years. Each visit was treasured, filled with kindness, hospitality, laughter, and wisdom. So grateful to have known Herb and Yvonne.. both at peace and reunited now.. praying comfort and peace for the family as you grieve and remember.

I will miss my big brother. Even though we weren't able to see each other that often, we were only a phone call way from each other. Love to all the family , prayers and thoughts are with you all.
