Pam was born August 4, 1955 in Salina, Kansas. It was a great year! She was the first child of Bill and Jean Townsend Stewart. She was a wonderful blessing for them.
Pam enjoyed cheerleading and basketball at Ouachita High School in Monroe, Louisiana. She had a lot of fun with her many friends, and they mostly stayed out of trouble.
Pam married and had two daughters, Michelle Sadden and Chantelle Gelpi. She settled into her role as a wife and mother, and loved her family dearly.
Pam enjoyed traveling, her flower beds, bird watching, and LSU basketball and football. She was a collector of many things but she adored the hunt for Ty Beanie Babies. Every Hallmark store in Baton Rouge knew her name and rolled out the red carpet for her! Most of all she enjoyed her family.
Pam attended nursing school at Sowela while in her 50's. She studied long and hard, and passed with flying colors. Once she graduated she started working in southern Alabama, we were so proud of our Pammie!
We will all miss Pam immensely, but we know she is in a better place.
She is preceded in death by her mother Leslie Jean Townsend-Stewart, and her nephew Jason Byrd.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Michelle Sadden, and Chantell Gelpi, her father and stepmother; Bill and Jane Gayle Stewart, her brothers; Greg Stewart and wife Kitty, and Darren Stewart, her sister Kelly Holt and husband David, her stepbrother; Jeffrey Carter and wife Joan, two grandchildren; Dylan Sadden and JJ Jimenez, two great-grandchildren; S' Dina Sadden and Karen Sadden, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Pamela will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff, followed by a Celebration of life service at 12:00 PM.
