Renee Marie Becnel Cantrell, age 79, of Lake Charles, Louisiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with her children by her side. Renee was born on August 14, 1945, to Rene Joseph Becnel and Mary Oparka Becnel.
Renee was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Renee graduated from University of Tennessee in dental hygiene. She later moved into the retail industry selling jewelry at Sam's and retired in 2015.
Renee was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry "Bill" Cantrell, and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Geoffrey Worthington; daughter, Kailea Worthington; stepdaughter, Patricia Johnson; grandsons, Tristan Worthington, Greyson Worthington, and Liam Worthington.
Visitation will begin at noon until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
A celebration of Renee's life will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Moss Bluff with Rev. Alan Weishampel officiating.
