Robert “Robby” Joseph Alleman, 44, of Lake Charles passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on the evening of December 31, 2016. He was born in Goldsboro, NC in 1972 to Robert and Virginia (Peṅa) Alleman. Upon Graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1991 he attended McNeese State graduating with BA in Music Theory and Composition. While attending McNeese he was a member of the Marching and Jazz Bands, even traveling to Nice, France.
Robby was remarkably invested and involved in Diocese of Lake Charles youth ministry programs and events. He was a member of Regnum Christi ad a founding life teen core member. He served as an adult Core team leader. He offered his t-shirt design skills, he edited movies and video projects, he provided sound equipment and management, and he was fully present in helping mentor and guide young people closer to Christ. Robby shared his gift of music by leading worship, helping others share their gifts of music, and by creating prayerful atmospheres with his original compositions. Robby didn't let his physical challenges slow him down. He always found a way to make something happen. His insight and guidance was so valuable that if Robby wasn't at a meeting or gathering, they’d often wait to make a decision until he was. Far beyond just helping and offering wisdom, though, Robby was a man of prayer. His greatest contributions came from the fact that he kept young people and DOLC ministry in his heart, lifting others and the events up to the Lord's protection. He had a vision with “Man-Up” Retreat, to help boys become real men by witnessing to them Jesus Christ.
Robby is survived by his parents; Robert and Virginia Alleman, sister; Beth (Joey) Perry, brother; Michael (Sharon) Alleman, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many beloved friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
