Teresa Leigh Wade

Terry loved and lived for her three boys and her grandchildren, who were the heart and soul of her world. She was always up for the thrill of a good road trip, a horse show, or any adventure that came her way. Terry had a special love for animals and loved any animal she could get her hands on. She also enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafting and painting, finding joy in creating beautiful and meaningful things. She was full of life, had a spirit that was truly one of a kind, and brought her own special spark wherever she went. Her love for her family, her adventurous heart, creativity, and the memories she created with those closest to her will forever be treasured.

Terry was preceded in death by her son, Jordan Wade; her father, Cecil Walker; and her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Larry Rayford.

Terry is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rick Wade; two sons, Jamie Wade and his husband, Sherman, and Jonathan and his wife, Courtney; four grandchildren, Remi, Grayson, Anna, and J.W.; stepdaughter, Denise Crubaugh and her husband, Josh, and their two children, Kaitlynn and Jody; stepson, Robert McTague and his wife, Debra; sisters, KaCee Reed and Cristy Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend and longtime caretaker, Brandy Papillon, whose faithful presence and support meant so much to her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Moss Bluff, with Pastor Greg Cavenah officiating. Burial will follow at New Ritchie Cemetery.

Terry will be remembered for her big heart, adventurous spirit, creativity, and the deep love she had for her family. She lived life to the fullest, loved fiercely, and made memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Above all, her boys and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and the love she had for them will never fade. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
