She was a lifetime resident of Lake Charles and a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, The Catholic Daughters Court # 1999Swinging Rebels Square Dance Club, VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Moss Bluff. She spent many hours making porcelain dolls, china painting, quilting, sewing, woodworking, cooking and baking for others. Survivors include Connie and Larry Perkins of Moss Bluff, One grandson Christopher Perkins & wife Alison of The Woodlands, TX, Three granddaughters Mrs. Todd (Lisa) Mathieu of Lake Charles. Mrs. Jamie (Shonda) Hackney of Lafayette and Katie Ann Perkins & fiance’ Donnie Shirley of Baton Rouge. Three Great Granddaughters Miranda Mathieu, Bethany Mathieu ,Ava Hackney, one Great Grandson Jackson Hackney and one Great Great Granddaughter (Pretty Baby) Addison Mathieu. One Sister, Hazel Boudreaux of Jennings. Five brothers Carey Rogers, Curley Rogers, Allen Rogers, Bobby Rogers and Chester Rogers all of Lake Charles. And a host of caring, cherished Friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Nolan J. Busby, one son Walter Madison Busby, two sisters Lillian Doucet, Mary Rogers and three brothers Howard, Clanny and Clyde Rogers. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 3 – 8 pm. at Hixson Funeral Home on Ryan Street, Lake Charles and at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff from 9 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. by Msgr. Charles Dubois. Burial will be in Old Ritchie Cemetery
