I was so fortunate to spend my first year teaching at Moulton, Texas with Ms. Rachel Caballero. This was always my favorite time of the day; working side by side with her, learning from her. Thank you to this lady who was beautiful both inside and out.

When I hear, "They may forget what you said, but they will not forget how you made them feel," I always think fondly of Mrs. Caballero. Out of all of my many teachers from elementary school, high school, and college, she stands out as one of the best. I was always a bit of an outsider/outcast in school; but Mrs. C. consistently greeted me with the warmest of smiles and went above the call of duty to make me and all the others feel included. She encouraged us to be driven, independent, self-starting, and bold. Mrs. C: I may not remember everything you taught me, but I will always remember how you made me, and others like me, feel. You will be missed.

Rachael was a wonderful person whom I first met when I began teaching at Moulton. She was friendly and always smiling. I know her sons and their families will miss her. Hopefully many young children will enjoy her memorial bench. She would like that. Rest in peace.

My mom was one of my best friends I ever had. We were like twins. Loved clothes and shoes. It's hard to let go of a great parent who gave us everything she had to offer. Just a wonderful person. I will miss her....always!!!
