

Rick had a love for training animals and always had some humor to make you smile. When coming home from working offshore he would always call everyone to say “The eagle has landed”.
Mr. Surman is survived by two sons; Joey Gagne of Hallettsville and Charlie Surman, three daughters: Samantha Surman, Nicole Surman, and Skye Surman of Victoria, four brothers: Vernon Surman wife Dianna of Paige, Texas, J.C. Surman wife Joan of Fredonia, Texas, Gilbert Surman of Yoakum, and Tim Surman wife Lisa of Harleton, Texas, four sisters: Elaine Gillar husband Gene of Moulton, Elizabeth Janecka of New Mexico, JoAnn Gerules husband Mark of Cedar Park and Threasa Moore husband Delbert of Yoakum, and one grand-daughter Layla Gagne.
Mr. Surman is Preceded in death by his parents, and wife Margaret Horkin.
Visitation will be 9:30 am Friday, October 22, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Rosary will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October23, 2010 at St Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be 2:30 pm Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton with Rev. Eddie Winkler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Moulton. Pallbearers are Ronnie Langhamer, Arlen Surman, Marty Surman, Patrick Surman, Mark Surman, and Lawrence Bordozsky. Honorary pallbearers are Elsie Herrin and Mary Jane Kahanek.
